In case you missed it, the FCC terminated China Telecom's authority to provide telecommunications services in the US. Since CN2 GIA is China Telecom's own premium network, some of its US customers may need to find a new way to get a reliable connection to China.
If you're affected by this change, you may be looking for alternatives. The Spin Servers data center in San Jose, CA is an excellent, reliable alternative to traditional CN2 GIA connections.
We're currently offering a new San Jose dedicated server configuration that makes a great GIA alternative, with a reliable connection and a generous amount of bandwidth.
Why San Jose?
Many CN2 GIA services in the US are concentrated in Los Angeles, CA. San Jose has fewer providers competing for the same capacity, which can mean less network congestion and a more stable connection.
The configuration
Dual Intel Xeon E5-2630L v3
- 16 cores, up to 2.90 GHz turbo
- 256 GB DDR4 RAM
- 2 × 1.6 TB SSD in hardware RAID-1
- 30 TB bandwidth on a 10Gbps port
- /64 IPv6 allocation
- Multiple OS options
- San Jose, CA data center
Was $229/month, now $169/month
View this configuration at Spin Servers and use promo code SJC$60OFF to get $60 off every month for the life of the service.
